I am literally fan of Chinese food but when it’s good. Wanted to try beef string beans with fried rice. When it’s my first time visit I don’t seek for an adventure and go with the basics.Literally Panda’s fried rice much better. And the meat they served was not fresh at all. Horrible innit? It was my first and last visit for Mandarin Garden.

We were starving on a Sunday and this was the only place open! I’m so glad we came here, it’s a cute little hidden spot. It wasn’t very busy when we went, so we got the full attention from the server etc. the atmosphere is nice and cozy. The food was delicious! I like that each dish had a different flavor/sauce. I always look for that in a restaurant, I love variety. The service was excellent. I would definitely visit again.

Decided to grab a quick lunch with my kids. I got the sweet and sour chicken and my kids got the Lo Mein. After eating most of the food my son found a dead fly cooked in the Low Mein. I called for a refund with my family feeling sick and my son throwing up in the background. No refund and I had to argue that this wasn’t right. I’m going to report them to the health department. Be sure to inspect your food before eating.

This place is close to where I live and we've come here several times. The food is still excellent, but I have several complaints about the new ownership. It's not that the new owners aren't good people. They are, but when I go to an ethnic restaurant, I want the full experience: food, music, staff, decor. If I go to an Indian Restaurant, I want Indian decor, music, staff, food. If I go to a Chinese restaurant, I want Chinese food, staff, music, and decor. You get the idea. Now, it's run by a Hispanic family, whose child (looked maybe years old) seated us and was one of the servers. I thought there was a law against child labor. Fortunately, we speak Spanish or there would have been a communication barrier. I asked if they had anything similar to MaPo Tofu. They had no idea what that is. Then, to top it off, another family was there with kids and, like so many ill-mannered Americans these days, they let their kids run all over the place bothering other customers. In spite of the food being excellent, I doubt we will return. It's just not the relaxing, whole experience I'm looking for.UPDATE //So we thought, even if we won't go there to eat in person, the food is still good. We can order carry-out. That was a disaster! We had once before order delivery, but the food containers came drenched in juices. We assumed it was the fault of the Doordash driver. This time, I would pick it up and make sure the food was carried carefully home. Still no luck. We had to spend minutes just cleaning off the juice that spilled out of the containers into the bag and got all over everything. See pic. I guess we just have to cross them completely off our list. Too bad as they are only minutes from our home.
